About Dr. Norwood

Dr. Aliza Norwood is an assistant professor in the Departments of Population Health and Internal Medicine at Dell Medical School. She also serves as the co-director of Dell Med’s primary care, family and community medicine clerkship and as the Medical Director at Vivent Health, formerly AIDS Services of Austin.

Prior to joining Dell Medical School, Dr. Norwood was clinical operations director at Bridge HIV in San Francisco and assistant affiliate faculty at the University of California, San Francisco.

Dr. Norwood attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at San Antonio and trained in primary care and internal medicine at the University of California, San Francisco. She is board certified in internal medicine and has an HIV specialist certification from the American Academy of HIV Medicine.
